Unlikely Me, Unlikely God

Hello!

I've just returned from a series of Conferences, and am eating lunch as I type at the SRC. From here I go to the Jackson's to pray for guidance and for the Holy Spirit's direction for myself, and the Jackson brothers (one as an artist for Christ, the other as a Musician... and myself in speaking/ outreach).

Let's back up. I had the privilege of transporting some missionaries around before the Mission's Conference last Saturday. Had a great heart to heart with Dave from the Old Country. Saturday was a long, but blessed day. It was good. I enjoyed just kinda stepping in and directing people around the building to various workshops and being the silent servant. Try it sometime...

Monday began the East Coast Pastor's Conference down at Sandy Cove, in MD. This was my first full Pastor's Conf that I can recall, and as time went on it became clear that God had placed me there. I was able to interact with a few about sexual brokenness, the love of God, and more importantly, the Chronicles! I was impacted by Psalm 62 (92?), Mark 6, and I Chronicles where I am told that 'if Chas., who is called a follower of Christ, will call on Jesus' Name, humble himself and pray, and seek Jesus' face, and turn from his wicked ways, then Jesus will hear from Heaven, and forgive my sins, and heal my land!

None of these Scriptures were discussed from the platform that I can recall, but the Lord spoke on the Platform of my Soul, and I believe I heard. I so need to be more repentant. I so need to be humble.

On a more humorous note, I learned that God seems to like using unattractive people to accomplish His will, as there were some 800+ of the most unlikely people at the Pastors Conference.

As I desperately want to get into the Word for a few minutes, I'll leave you with the following links for the Jacksons:

Blessings!
